Kaysley Thornton
I was born and raised right here in Fernandina Beach. From a very early age, God made it clear that teaching was in my future. I graduated from Jacksonville University with both my Bachelor's and Master's degree in Education. I began my teaching career in the public school in Nassau county as a kindergarten teacher. God led me to FBCA in 2016 to teach 3rd grade. My plan was always to stay in the classroom but God had a better plan. I became curriculum coordinator in 2018 before being asked to be principal just six short months later. It is an honor that God would choose me to be part of a school that is chasing after His will, to not just raise up future leaders but leaders of today.
I believe that Christian education is a ministry to the whole family and I love the family we have created at Fernandina Beach Christian Academy. It's truly a special place where you can feel the love and excitement growing from the moment you step on our campus. My favorite part of being principal at FBCA is seeing the students become who God has called them to be. It is an honor and responsibility I do not take lightly. We look forward to having you join the FBCA family!
